Exploring Singapore: Marina Bay, Gardens & Hawker Center Adventures

Join us on our second part of Singapore adventures as we explore the iconic Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay light show, and dive into the bustling Hawker Center food scene. From city skylines to local delicacies, here’s everything you need for a perfect day in Singapore.

Marlin Park & The Merlion

Our day started at the famous Marlin Park, home to Singapore’s iconic Merlion statue. The mythical creature with the lion's head and fish tail symbolizes Singapore's growth and its fishing village origins. We enjoyed the view of the Singapore River, Marina Bay Sands, and the Singapore Flyer. The Jubilee Bridge nearby celebrates Singapore’s 50 years of independence.

Marina Bay Sands & Apple Store

The three-towered Marina Bay Sands Hotel is an architectural marvel with its boat-shaped rooftop and exclusive infinity pool. While we couldn’t access the pool, we admired the luxurious surroundings and explored the first Apple Store completely surrounded by water, offering 360° panoramic views of Singapore.

Gardens by the Bay Light Show

Next, we visited Gardens by the Bay, home to the famous Super Trees and the Flower Dome, the world’s largest glass greenhouse. We experienced the mesmerizing light and sound show, Rhapsody, which happens daily at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM. It was free, magical, and perfect for budget travelers!

Hawker Center Food Experience

We wrapped up the day with dinner at a local Hawker Center, where Singaporeans enjoy cheap, delicious food. From wanton soup to fresh coconut water, the variety was overwhelming but absolutely worth it. Don’t miss the hustle, bustle, and flavors of these iconic spots!
