From exploring Asakusa\u2019s historic streets and Senso-ji Temple to trying vending machine drinks and crossing the famous Shibuya Crossing, Tokyo instantly showed us its beautiful mix of old and new.  \n  <\/p>\n\n  <!-- Sections -->\n  <h2>Our Stay in Asakusa<\/h2>\n  <p>We checked into <strong>APA Hotel<\/strong>, located right next to Asakusa Station. At just <strong>$50 a night<\/strong> for two people, it was a cozy and budget-friendly base for exploring Tokyo. Compact, clean, and functional\u2014it had everything we needed.<\/p>\n\n  <h2>Senso-ji Temple: Oldest in Tokyo<\/h2>\n  <p>We started the day at <strong>Senso-ji Temple<\/strong>, Tokyo\u2019s oldest Buddhist temple (built in <strong>645 AD<\/strong>). Visiting around 7 AM meant no crowds\u2014just peaceful moments among pagodas, giant lanterns, and temple halls. We even tried our luck with <strong>Omikuji fortune slips<\/strong>\u2014a fun way to experience Japanese traditions.<\/p>\n\n  <h2>Walking Tokyo\u2019s Streets<\/h2>\n  <p>From the <strong>Sumida Riverwalk<\/strong> to <strong>Azumabashi Bridge<\/strong>, we soaked in riverside views despite the drizzle. Japan\u2019s vending machines kept us warm and curious\u2014green tea, milk coffee, seasonal drinks\u2026 it felt like a mini adventure with every coin drop!<\/p>\n\n  <h2>Shibuya & Shinjuku Highlights<\/h2>\n  <p>We braved the iconic <strong>Shibuya Crossing<\/strong>\u2014thousands of people crossing in perfect chaos. Nearby, the <strong>Hachiko Statue<\/strong> reminded us of Japan\u2019s heartwarming loyalty stories. Later, we headed to <strong>Meiji Jingu Shrine<\/strong>, surrounded by lush forest, and admired the architecture of <strong>Yoyogi National Gymnasium<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n  <h2>Foodie Adventures<\/h2>\n  <p>Breakfast was classic <strong>7-Eleven<\/strong> goodies: pork buns and fruit sandwiches. Lunch and dinner? Local noodle and chicken dishes that were flavorful, filling, and incredibly affordable.
